How to Decorate With DKNY Color Block Bedding

Paint the wall a solid, light color such as eggshell white or a subtle gray or blue. The large blocks or solid color in the DKNY bedding will clash with vibrant wall colors or multicolored or -patterned wallpaper.

Add a bouquet of white chrysanthemums or white flowers on the beside table. Solid, white flowers go best with the tranquil nature of the collection, and match the floral design in the shams and quilt. Put the flowers in a white or clear vase. Select a modern vase if the bedding is composed of blocks. Blocks give the room a more modern feel; an ornamental vase will clash with that.

Hang solid or sheer window treatments. The treatments should be modern and of a color that is in the bedding or matches.

Place an off-white to beige upholstered chair in the room. A modern-looking chair will look best with the modern look of the bedding. Add a throw pillow with a floral design to bring in the theme of flowers. The throw pillow should be a solid color, and the flowers on it should be white, blue or grey.

Set distressed wood dressers and beside tables in the room. The taupe in the comforter is earthy, and distressed wood would go with this color. You can distress wood yourself by painting it, then sanding down the surface and stripping portions of the paint with a paint stripper.

Frame family photos and other images in white frames. Avoid black and white images; adding a splash of color outside of the bedding won't hurt at this point.
