While some homeowners don't mind having the huge screen of their TV in plain sight, to others it's a bit of an eyesore. Just because you watch television, doesn't mean that the TV has to be a permanent and constant part of your decor. If there's a TV in your playroom, it can be too tempting for kids, making them want to watch hours of TV instead of playing games that stimulate their minds. Indulging in clever and novel ways to camouflage your TV will pay off with your kids and your interior design scheme.

1
Run a tape measure across the width of the TV set. Purchase a roll up map that's at least as wide as the TV.
-
2
Hold the roll up map brackets against the ceiling, 2 inches or so in front of the TV. Mark the spots where you want to place the brackets with a pencil. Drill them in place with 1.5-inch screws and a handheld drill.

Slide and snap the roller map onto the brackets. Pull down the map and see how nicely it conceals the tempting TV. Plus it gives your kids a constant geography reference.
