How to Make a Black and Silver Wrist Corsage

Store-bought corsages can be extremely expensive and the fresh flower types quickly die, leaving you with nothing but a memory. Creating an easy tie-on corsage with ribbon and a silk flower is a low-cost alternative that allows you to make a long-lasting corsage in any color scheme you'd like. Using long, flowing ribbons cinches allows you to tie the corsage to your wrist to complement any outfit. The bonus is that the silk flower never dies and you'll have a treasure to keep.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure and cut 30 inches of 2-inch silver ribbon with scissors, then mark the center.

    • 2

Make a large bow shape with 20 inches of 2-inch black ribbon by folding into two large loops. Then, make a smaller bow shape with the remaining 12 inches of 2-inch silver ribbon.

    • 3

Place the large black bow on the center mark of the 30-inch silver ribbon and the small silver ribbon on top of the black bow. Use the 30-inch silver ribbon to tightly tie the black and silver bow together to create the corsage base.

    • 4

Cut the stem from the black silk rose and secure the head of the rose to the center of the ribbon bows with hot glue; let cool. Tie corsage on the wrist with the trailing silver ribbon.
