Instructions

    • 1

Set a large pillar candle on a decorative holder, and surround the base with flowers.

    • 2

Place tea lights in clear or colored glass holders, arrange on a tray, and use rose petals to create a bed of color around the candles.

    • 3

Celebrate a birthday by removing the stems from carnations, filling a small pot with the ruffled blooms, and placing a lit candle on top. The flowers should be fit tightly so they form a mound and the arrangement resembles a cupcake with a candle on top.

    • 4

Fill a shallow bowl halfway with water, and place tea lights in various colors so they are above the water line. Float a orchid or lily in the bowl between the candles.

    • 5

Purchase a bouquet of mixed flowers. Cut the stems short, and use floral foam to arrange the flowers in a small basket. Place one or two long tapers in the middle of the arrangement, being sure they stick up far enough above the flowers to burn safely.

    • 6

Decorate a small, floral foam wreath with roses, carnations and greenery, and set a pillar candle in the middle.

    • 7

Start with a shallow tray and fill with an abundance of flowers and greenery of varying heights, letting some of the greenery spill over the edge. Place a pillar candle in a glass holder towards the center, matching the color of the candle to the color of the flowers.

    • 8

Stagger pillar candles of varying heights to form a display, and surround the base with two or three large blooms.
