Examine the herbs you've collected for your project, and discard any that don't meet your standards. Use scissors to trim any unsightly roots or defective leaves and petals from the herbs.
Encase the herbs in two pieces of waxed paper and place the paper in the pages of a heavy book. Put additional books on top of the book with the herbs in it to add additional weight to the pressing process.
Allow the herbs to sit several hours or overnight until they are pressed flat enough that they will fit easily into the frame.
Select the appropriate background for the herbs. Choose fabric, a wallpaper sample or construction, tissue or wrapping paper.
Glue the herbs into place with white craft glue that dries clear. Apply a small amount of glue to the back of the leaves and blooms with a toothpick, and affix them onto the background.
Apply a spray sealer to the prepared herbs to preserve them from discoloration and destruction from ultraviolet rays.
Place the finished product face up on the table, and carefully position the glass frame on top of it. Gently turn the frame over while holding everything in place. Secure the frame backing.
