Instructions

    • 1

Place a runner over a crisp fabric tablecloth. Position it through the center of your table, allowing it to drop over two sides. If you choose a printed runner, it should be subtle to provide contrast to the flowers and not compete with them.

    • 2

Center a rectangular mirror with beveled edges on the runner. This will reflect the lighting in the room and showcase your flowers.

    • 3

Place greens on top of the mirror. Cover the stems with the next leaf or stem of leaves that you set on the mirror. Start in the middle of the mirror and work toward the two ends.

    • 4

Cut the stems of your flowers to about 5 inches in length and inset each stem into a water-filled florist vial. This keeps your flowers fresh for several hours during your event.

    • 5

Lay your first flower near the center of the mirror. Place a second flower facing in the opposite direction. The stems will form an "X." Arrange the remaining blossoms down the mirror in a staggered line toward each end. Position the ends of the stems toward the center of the arrangement.

    • 6

Lay more greens on top of the stems of your flowers. This hides the vials and provides a natural look to your arrangement.

    • 7

Scatter flower petals on top of the greens and allow them to fall over the edges of the mirror. Lightly scatter additional petals across the tablecloth to add more color to your table.
