Nestle 12 or 24 dried, 27-inch curly willow branches, depending on the vase's width, into the decorative items for stability. Spread the branches out for a full look.
Fill the vase with water. Cut the stems of tall flowers, such as orchids, gladioli, irises or sunflowers, to 21 and 22 inches, using scissors. Pick the flower type and color according to the table decor theme, such as purple orchids for an exotic, tropical look, or sunflowers for a country-inspired design.
Insert the flower stems into the vase. Incorporate the stems throughout the display so that the blooms mingle with the branches.
