A change of decoration can help brighten an area of your home, and flowers are a nice decorative element. Instructions

    • 1

Gather the stems of a bunch of fresh or silk flowers in one hand. Arrange the stems and blossoms to distribute the colors and types of blossoms evenly. If you are hanging the flowers to dry, strip the leaves from the stems by hand.

    • 2

Wrap a 10- to 18-inch length of florist wire around the stems several times to hold them together. Wrap the rest of the wire down around the length of the stems and hide the ends in the middle of them. Cut straight across the ends of the stems to even them out with a pair of heavy-duty shears or wire cutters.

    • 3

Wrap a 20- to 30-inch piece of ribbon around the wired section of the bunch of flowers two times. Tie a firm knot in the ribbon. You can tie a bow if you want to add that decorative touch to the top of the flowers.

    • 4

Turn the bunch of flowers upside down and tie the ends of the ribbon to a nail, cup hook or peg mounted on the wall or ceiling. Adjust the flowers for the best view of the blossoms.

Trim the ribbon ends with shears if they are hanging below the flower blossoms.
