How to Make Flower Arrangements Using Tea Cups

Tea cup flower arrangements make ideal table decorations and centerpieces for a variety of special events, such as bridal and baby showers, garden-inspired birthday parties, and Valentine's Day soirees. Use any tea cups you have on hand, from family heirlooms to flea market finds, to create an eye-catching table display. Don't worry if you have a hodgepodge of tea cups, as using mismatched flower vessels will give the arrangement a shabby chic style.

Instructions

  1. Tea Cup Centerpiece

    • 1

Create a stacked tea cup centerpiece as an eye-catching display. Use inexpensive tea cups and saucers as you won't be able to reuse them. Place one tea cup saucer in the center of the party table and place a ring of hot glue around the center.

    • 2

Set a tea cup onto the hot glue and press it down to create a firm hold. Place a ring of hot glue around the tea cup rim and press another saucer onto it.

    • 3

Create a circle of hot glue around the middle of the saucer and press one more tea cup onto it. Finish the project by gluing one more saucer and one more tea cup to the stack.

    • 4

Fill the top tea cup with water. Make a bouquet of small flowers, such as sweetheart roses or lilies of the valley, and cut the stems to fit the tea cup. Insert the flowers into the tea cup.

    Tea Cup Place Setting Decor

Create one tea cup floral arrangement for each guest at a dinner party. Choose a mix of vintage tea cups featuring delicate flower patterns and elegant gold rims.

    • 6

Fill the tea cups with water. Create a mini bouquet of fresh flowers for each cup. Design a vibrant mix of yellow daisies, orange roses and purple hydrangeas as one arrangement idea. Use one large flower, such as a pink peony, in each cup as another option.

Cut the flower stems to fit the tea cups. Insert the flower arrangements into the tea cups, and set one cup next to each guest's place setting.
