Instructions

    • 1

Cut your bamboo poles to the right length for the area where you will be displaying your fake palm tree. Cut each pole to different lengths to give added dimension to the tree.

    • 2

Mark dots around the top third of the bamboo poles with a black marker for placements of the palm branches or banana leaves. Drill through each mark, making holes in the bamboo pole. Do this for all the bamboo poles you are using.

    • 3

Fill the bottom of the coffee can or planter with the floral foam. This is the base of your tree.

    • 4

Push the bamboo poles into the floral foam. Add a few stones to the top of the coffee can or planter if needed to help hold up the bamboo poles. Add fake moss on top of the planter to cover the floral foam.

    • 5

Insert the palm branches or banana leaves in the holes of the bamboo poles. Put craft glue into the holes to help secure the branches or leaves. After the glue has dried, carefully bend the branches or leaves downward slightly to give the look of a true palm tree.
