Find the size of box(s) that you need. Craft paper boxes come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be purchased at most craft supply stores or in the craft section of most major department stores.

Wrap the boxes or paint them according to what you are using them for. If you are doing a wedding or something that is more formal, wrapping paper in the appropriate colors with elegant bows make beautiful centerpieces. You can also put bouquets of flowers on top of the boxes instead of bows. Wrapping them also preserves them for a future event.

Different size boxes also make great tiers for bouquets. You can stack them and arrange them around the center of a long or round table by height, adjusting them so that some are taller and some are shorter. After you have the boxes where you want them and the height that you want them, place a tablecloth over top of them. Make sure the tablecloth is large enough that it can fall loosely over top of the boxes. Place vases of flowers, food trays, or other decorations on each tier. Using the boxes this way does not require the boxes to be decorated or wrapped, but the tops of the boxes should be sturdy enough to hold a centerpiece.

Specialty boxes, also found at craft stores and party stores, are great to put party favors in. They also make for very fun and memorable centerpieces. You can put them at each seat, ready to be admired and enjoyed by your guests, or you can create a masterpiece of a centerpiece with them and give them out at the end of your party or event.
