Instructions

    • 1

Trace the shape of the first letter of the recipient's last name onto a piece of cardboard. Make the letter approximately 8 by 10 inches, although the wreath can be any size. Cut out the letter and use as a pattern to trace the shape with a black marker onto a piece of 2-inch foam board. Use a utility knife to cut out the letter shape from the foam board.

Cover the back of the foam letter with ribbon. Cut strips of ribbon the length of the letter. Hot glue the strips of ribbon on to completely cover the back of the letter. Cover the 2-inch width edges of the letter with ribbon and to hide the edges of the ribbon on the back.

Cut the stems of the flowers off. Hot glue the flowers onto the front of the letter, completely over the foam. If desired, glue the flowers onto the edges of the letter.

Cut the ribbon into two 18-inch pieces. On the backside of the wreath, attach one end of a piece of ribbon to the upper part of the letter using a thumb tack. Repeat on the other side of the letter with the other piece of ribbon. Tie the two loose ends of the ribbons together forming a bow. Tie like tying shoelaces. Hang the wreath by placing the bow over a door hook.
