How to Hang Artificial Flowers

Artificial flowers can look just like the real thing and are always in bloom. They don't need sunlight and water, so finding the right place for them to flourish is not an issue. They add a touch of spring to any season and go with just about any decor.

Hang an artificial flowered vine above a window to add a splash of texture to the design of the window treatment. These lightweight pieces can be fixed to the wall with a few push pins. Curve the vine in a subtle, up-and-down motion along the top of the window, pinching it against the wall with a pin every six to eight inches. Use a clear push pin or one that is the same color as the floral vine so it won't stand out.

Bunch some of the artificial flowers together and tie them at their stems with twine. Hang them upside down from a beam on the ceiling to give the impression that you are drying flowers out. Tie the other end of the twine to a push pin or small nail stuck into the wooden beam.

Take artificial flowers that are on bendable wires and twist them around a curtain rod above a window, in place of curtains. Use only one or two colors of artificial flowers that match your decor. Twist enough of the flowers around the rod so it is full and lush, then puff them out to give them an airy look.

Make a hanging basket arrangement in your kitchen or family room. Buy a round basket that's made for hanging plants and put floral foam at the bottom. Place your flowers in an arrangement by sticking the flowers stems into the foam. Put a few handfuls of artificial moss around the bottom to cover the floral moss. Hang the basket on a hook fixed to your wall, door or window molding.

Use a letter holder or basket to hang artificial flowers on the wall. Cut a small piece of floral foam to fit in the bottom and stick the flowers into the foam. Hang the holder on a nail on the wall.
