Turn a hair dryer to the cool setting or to the lowest heat setting.
Blow dust from the dried flowers with the hair dryer on slow or the lowest blow setting.
Place dried flowers in a plastic bag with 1/2 cup of salt or corn meal. Place a few flowers at a time in the bag and shake gently for one to two minutes. The dust clings to the salt or corn meal and shakes off the flowers.
Brush dust from the dried flowers using an artist's small soft bristled paint brush. A paint brush is small enough to get into crevices where dirt hides in dried flowers and dulls their appearance. Wipe the paint brush periodically on a clean rag as dust collects on it from the dried flowers.
Spray canned air on dried flowers. Keep the canned air 6 to 8 inches or more away from the flowers as you spray. Canned air has a strong force when it comes out of the can, so you want to keep the flowers at a safe distance so they have the benefit of the moving air but not enough to damage them.
Wipe a static-type cloth gently over the dried flowers. Cloths with a certain magnetic-static type of characteristic traps dust as it comes into contact.
