How to Make Floral Arrangements With LED Lighting

Order in advance your fresh flowers and greenery for the event, whether a dinner party or special occasion. With LED lighting, a minimalist approach is every bit as beautiful as a large bouquet. Consider stems of dendrobium orchids with bear grass, a stem of cymbidium orchids surrounded by lemon leaves, three stems of Casablanca lilies, a dozen roses or calla lilies. Or, take a traditional approach with massed clusters of flowers and greenery. Floral choices set the stage for LED light decisions.

Place crystal clear gems or marble vase filler in the vase. Do not fill the vase to the top with the vase filler. Halfway to the top is more than enough.

Place the LED light(s) into the container. They are available in submersible styles with on-and-off switches and replaceable batteries. Your estimated frequency-of-use is a guide to choosing the right LED lights. LED lighting is available in clear and many colors including pink, blue, purple and yellow to cast a beautiful glow on any floral choice.

Give your flowers and greenery a fresh cut underwater. Remove any excess leaves. You do not want any leaves to be under the water in your floral arrangement.

Fill your vase with just enough water to cover the crystal clear gem or marble vase filler. Arrange your flowers. If you are using LED-operated lighted branches or single lights, work them into the arrangement at this time. Turn on the LED lights and turn off your room lights to study the arrangement. You want the arrangement to look just as beautiful with or without the LED light illuminating it.
