Daisy Table Centerpieces Ideas

Daisies are a simple, pretty choice from which to create a centerpiece and can fit any theme from formal to country. The type of daisy and the way it's presented can be altered in a variety of ways to make a fresh approach to any centerpiece using this common flower. Daisies are hardy and should look fresh the entire day, ensuring they make a lasting impression for your table centerpiece.
  1. Modern Approach

    • Classic white is a modern choice, and several varieties of daisy fit the bill. Choose Shasta daisies, including varieties with white lacy petals, or select large and full Gerbera varieties. Daisies have a woody stem and easily stand tall. One modern idea is to tie off around eight to 10 stems of daisies into bunch, near the top beneath the blooms. Trim the stems to an even length at the bottom, and fan out slightly, standing them upright on the stems in a shallow bowl of water. Tie a ribbon near the top, and you have a dramatic freestanding centerpiece of daisies.

    Colorful Beauty

    • Gerbera daisies come in vibrant colors and are can match any decor. They are large, full-bloomed and add a dramatic focal point. Gerbera daisies need support for the stems, and are excellent choices for arranged centerpieces that involve attaching the flowers to a foam block for support or placing them in a vase. A large bunch of brightly-colored Gerberas in a tall slender vase filled with glass marbles for support makes a colorful centerpiece.

    A Little Bit Country

    • Daisies convey comfort and a homey theme. Potted daisies in any variety or color can be placed in a groupings of small decorated pots, or use one large pot for a more dramatic look. Terra cotta pots add country charm, or a shiny tin pail with handles and lace ribbon tied on the side brightens up the look.
