Funeral Flower Arrangement Ideas

Standing Easel

• Personalize standing sprays using the loved one's favorite flowers. The easels look best with large leaf or fern type greenery layering the edges of the arrangement. Mixed sprays utilizing the rainbow of different colors of Gerbera daisies, colorful carnations, rich roses, chrysanthemums filled in with million star gyp or solidago and leatherleaf create a classic and memorable tribute.

Heart Spray

• Create a heart spray with white carnations or chrysanthemums filling out the heart-shaped floral foam. Craft or larger hobby stores usually carry the heart-shaped wet floral foam. Superstores with hobby sections may also carry them. Create the broken heart by adding a crooked line of blood red roses or carnations in the center of the heart.

Basket Spray

• A basketful of white lilies, carnations and roses layered with million-star gyp and ferns create a memorable, peaceful tribute. The "A-frame" of the basket and the floral arrangement makes the flowers loom especially large and beautiful. White gladiolas stand especially tall in these arrangements.

• Purchase a round wreath in wet floral foam, usually available at hobby stores or superstores with a hobby section. A colorful, bold tribute at any memorial is a wreath with mounds of full-leaf lemon leaf interspersed with royal blue delphinium, buttercup yellow daises and carnations and white chrysanthemums, showcasing bi-color red and pink roses. Add mounds of white million star gyp to highlight the beauty of all these colors.

Funeral Cross

• A cross shape in wet floral foam can be purchased at craft or larger hobby stores. Because of the religious message of peace a cross symbolizes, you may decorate it with white carnations, white roses, white chrysanthemums or other white flowers, atop a bed of greenery. Crosses decorated with white pink bi-roses also make a lovely tribute.
