Reception Ideas for Gerbera Daisies

Chair Accessories

• Decorate the chairs at your reception with Gerbera daisies. Tie bows around each chair using chiffon or white linen bows you may rent from your local party supply store. Insert single Gerbera daisies into water tubes. Slide these tubes into the center of the bows on the backs of the chairs. Use a single color theme or use a variety of different colors around the reception hall or room. These unexpected displays of color also make lovely keepsakes for guests to take home afterward.

Take-Out Style

• Assemble an assortment of Chinese take-out boxes to use on each table at your reception. Line each box with plastic. Soak a piece of floral foam in water for about 30 minutes. Place the foam pieces in the bottom of each box. Cut the Gerbera daisies so that they are only tall enough to cover the top of the boxes. Use four to five flowers in each box. Group them in three's as your centerpiece or set an arrangement in front of each guest's plate as a party favor to take home afterward. You may also opt to use a single large daisy in smaller take-out boxes.

Wreaths

• Soak a wreath of floral foam in water until it is completely saturated. Insert the Gerbera daisies, baby's breath and greenery around the ring until it is completely covered. Hang the wreaths you make in windows and on doors.

Table Runners

• Make a slit in each stem of your Gerbera daisies. Thread the daisy stems through one another until you have made a "rope" of daisies the length of the table. Repeat this with another batch of daisies and then criss-cross the strands along the entire table. Place pillar candles between each area where the flowers cross to complete your innovative table runner.
