Ideas for a Fall Luncheon Centerpiece Using Mums

Garden Luncheon

• Take a watering can and paint a floral motif on the can. Once the paint has dried, insert a round floral foam piece into the bottom of the can. Fill the can with cool water, as mum's prefer cooler water temperatures. Arrange varying colors of mums in the can. Position the can in the center of the table and arrange printed gardening gloves and a small garden spade or fork next to the can.

Bridal Luncheon

• For a bridal luncheon centerpiece, use foam pieces stacked in the shape of a wedding cake to arrange the mums on. Soak the foam pieces overnight in water to keep the mums fresh at the luncheon. Stack the foam pieces on a cake plate with a lip to contain any water that may seep out of the foam and to add an attractive flair to the arrangement. Use mums in the color of the wedding and insert them into the foam pieces. Make sure to cover all of the foam. Arrange the tiered flower cake in the center of the table with a silver cake knife and server next to the floral arrangement.

Ladies Luncheon

• Take a large pumpkin and cut the top off. Clean the insides out of the pumpkin. Place a floral foam piece in the bottom of the pumpkin. Arrange the mums inside the pumpkin vase. This can be used on the table with other gourds in varying colors arranged around it. For another twist on this same idea, use the plastic face pieces from the Mrs. Potato Head and make the pumpkin into a lady, and the flowers will look like the hair. Arrange a pile of fake pearls in the center of the table and place the pumpkin lady in the center of the pearls.
