Instructions

    • 1

Cut two 18-inch strips out of the crepe-paper streamer. Use two different shades of the same color or two contrasting colors, if desired.

    • 2

Lay the strips on top of each other. Starting at one short end, hold the pencil-erase side up-against the crepe paper. Loosely wrap the crepe paper around the pencil. Hold the bottom edge of the rolled up crepe paper, slide the pencil out and gently twist the bottom edge together.

    • 3

Cut an 8-inch piece of floral wire and bend the top 1 inch over to form a hook. Place the hook over the bottom edge of the rolled up crepe paper and gently twist the wire to hold securely and form the flower.

    • 4

Cut small Vs into the top edge of the crepe paper. Fluff out the crepe paper to form the petals of the flower.

    • 5

Wrap floral tape around the wire to cover. Start directly underneath the flower and wrap down the length of the wire to form the flower stem. Pull the tape over the bottom edge of the wire and wrap back up to the top; cut off excess tape. Repeat steps 1 through 5 to make as many crepe-paper flowers as desired.

    • 6

Cut an 8-inch piece of 1/4-wide satin ribbon. Tie the ribbon around the bouquet of crepe-paper flowers forming a shoelace-style bow in the front.
