How to Hang Flowers on the Wall

Beautiful fresh blooms can decorate your walls when they are placed in an uncomplicated wall vase fashioned from an antique medicine bottle. Surface space is often difficult to find for fresh flowers and these attractive arrangements will not clutter a dining table. Two of these charming wall vases could sit on the wall above a buffet table or add a touch of spring to a powder room. A wall vase, filled with flowers, could also make a thoughtful homemade gift for a flower-loving friend.

Instructions

    • 1

Wash the antique medicine bottle thoroughly.

    • 2

Cut a 12-inch length of wire with the wire cutter.

    • 3

Wrap the wire around the neck of the bottle, beginning 2 inches from the wire's end. After wrapping the wire around the bottle neck twice, make a 1-inch diameter loop of wire, twist it closed, and twist the two wire ends together securely. Cut off the excess wire.

    • 4

Choose a spot to hang the bottle and flowers. Clean and dry the wall area thoroughly.

    • 5

Peel off the backing on the self-stick decorative hook. Without touching the adhesive surface, press the surface firmly on the wall.

    • 6

Fill the bottle with water and flowers and hook the wire loop over the decorative hook.
