Artificial Flowers for Floral Arranging

Artificial flowers are a convenient way to have floral décor with little to no maintenance required. Artificial floral arrangements can be used in your home or to decorate for events like weddings and other gatherings. There are a variety of styles of fake flowers you can use for floral arrangements without the hassle of upkeep.
  1. Realistic

    • The most common type of artificial flowers for floral arrangements are realistic-looking ones, often used for more traditional arrangements. You can find realistic-looking artificial flowers for almost any kind of flower, including roses, lilies, orchids, daisies, sunflowers and even carnations.

    Nonrealistic

    • Non-realistic artificial flowers are used for more nontraditional arrangements. With these kinds, the flowers are emulating a real flower but are painted in colors that a real flower couldn't have. For example, you might find black roses for a Gothic or modern piece, gold-painted flowers like roses or lilies or sparkling flowers painted with glitter.

    Seasonal

    • Another style of artificial flower for arrangements are based on the season you're trying to emulate. For example, you can find artificial roses in different stages of growth, such as a bud, fully bloomed or even those that look like they're dying and wilting.

    Holiday-themed

    • Artificial floral arrangements fit holiday themes as well. Artificial poinsettia flowers are popular for Christmas. In the fall, you may have artificial golden, orange, red and brown leaves. Spring celebrations may decorate with artificial flower buds. For summertime, stick to artificial flowers in full bloom.

    Garnishes

    • As with real floral arrangements with garnishes, artificial floral arrangements can be accented with artificial garnishes as well. You can find garnishes like artificial baby's breath, commonly used in floral arrangements. Other artificial garnishes include palm fronds, grass, pine cones, twigs and berry buds.
