Artificial Plant Crafts

Wreath

• Create a basic artificial wreath or holiday-themed wreath for your front door. You will need a polystyrene foam wreath or wire wreath, hot glue or craft wire and artificial plants of your choice. Use the craft wire to attach the plants to the wire wreath and hot glue to attach the plants to the foam wreath. Trim the stems off the artificial plants to make them easier to work with and design. To make a Christmas wreath, glue in some poinsettias, small Christmas ornaments and tiny wrapped presents. Create an Easter wreath by hot gluing some plastic Easter eggs between the greenery. Spray your wreath with an outdoor sealant spray to make it shiny and last longer. Allow your wreath to dry before hanging.

House Plants

• Make your own artificial house plants using polystyrene foam, a wicker basket, artificial moss and artificial plants of your choice. Examples of plants to use include dumb cane, ivies, bird of paradise and cigar plant. Place the polystyrene foam piece in the wicker basket and stick the stems into the foam. Hot glue the stems into the foam to make the plant sturdier. Place the moss on top of the foam and around the base of the plant stems so you cannot see them. Use the artificial plants around your house and clean with a damp cloth if they become dusty.

Arrangement

• Place artificial arrangements on tables, in corners or use as centerpieces. These arrangements are made with vases (clear and colored), polystyrene foam, clear or colored marbles, artificial moss and several artificial plants. Use a clear glass vase and fill with the clear marbles. Then stick red artificial roses in the vase. Put the foam in a dark-colored vase. Stick flowers of your choice in the foam and cover with artificial moss. You can put any kind of artificial flowers you want in the vases.

Flip-Flops

• Purchase a basic pair of flip-flops and artificial flowers. Hot glue the artificial flowers to the straps on the flip-flops to create flower flips-flops. Keep these flip-flops for yourself or give them as a gift.
