How to Make Evergreen Potpourri

Certain fragrances evoke special memories of family events. For many people, an evergreen scent brings to mind Christmas morning or family camp-outs. People have used potpourri to freshen rooms since the 12th century, when castle residents moistened herbs and spices with wine or other alcohol and literally left them to rot, creating a fragrant essence in the room. You can bring those family memories back to your home with a woodsy dry potpourri that lasts indefinitely.
