Pick silk flowers in colors that coordinate with your decor. Choose two or three focal flowers you want to highlight in the arrangement. Add seven or eight filler flowers or leaf stems. These fill in the areas around the focal flowers to add height and dimension to the display.
Place the floral foam in the bottom of the vase. Glue it in place with a hot glue gun.
Stand the filler flowers or leaves up beside the vase. Cut the stem of the longest filler flower so it is approximately three to four times the height of the vase. Stick it in the floral foam near the back of the display.
Arrange the focal flowers so they fill the diameter of the vase, cutting each with the wire cutters to fit. The focal flowers should begin slightly above the opening of the vase and at staggered heights above the first one. Stick the focal flowers into the floral foam.
Cut the remaining filler flowers at staggered levels shorter than the tallest one. This allows the flowers to be seen without hiding each other.
Stick the remaining filler flowers throughout any empty spaces in the arrangement so the display has balance and continuity.
