Instructions

    • 1

Cover your wreath base with moss, if desired. Styrofoam wreaths look better if you cover them, while grapevine and straw bases do not necessarily need a covering. Secure the moss to the base with pins or hot glue. For fresh flowers, soak the foam before you pin the moss.

    • 2

Bundle groups of flowers together using floral wire. You can group multiple blossoms of single flowers or several different types of flowers together. The bundles do not need to be large. You can use three to seven stems depending on the size of the flowers and the wreath. You can also use greenery, like sprigs of pine needles, or berries or pine cones.

    • 3

Arrange several floral bundles in a horizontal row across the wreath base. Apply hot glue to the base of the bundles to secure them in place. You can also wrap a wire around the stems to hold them tight to the base. For fresh flowers, insert the stems directly into the wreath form.

    • 4

Place a second row of bundles along the wreath base so that the blossoms cover the stems from the first row. Secure with hot glue and wire. Continue to wrap bundles around the wreath until you fully cover the base. Trim the remaining wires and secure them to the base with hot glue.

Glue greenery leaves around the base and in between the flowers to fill in any open areas.
