Cut a 28-to-30-inch length of ribbon. Your ribbon should coordinate with the items and colors in your wreath.
Hammer the picture hanger or nail into the wall at an elevation that is approximately 6 to 12 inches above the desired wreath height. You can also use a common door wreath hanger for metal doors.
Tie the ribbon around the wreath in a loose loop. You can tie a knot at the top, form a bow, and secure it with a drop of hot glue. Trim off excess ribbon. The loop should be as long as you want the wreath to hang below the picture hanger or nail.
Place the top of the loop over the nail, picture hanger or door hanger. Make sure the knot is tight enough to hold the wreath.
