Alstroemerias are also known as the Peruvian Lily or the Lily of the Incas.This flower originated in South America and was introduced to Europe in the 1700s. The flower resembles a miniature lily and is available in reds, pinks, salmon, lavender, yellow and white. Because of its variety of colors and the fact that it can remain fresh as a cut flower for two weeks, it has become a popular flower to use in arrangements.
