How to Hang a Bubble Terrarium

A bubble terrarium is a round glass globe with a circular side opening. The top of the glass ball has a cast loop that is designed to hold the terrarium if it is hung from the ceiling. Air plants are placed inside the terrarium to enjoy the sunlight. These plants are removed once a week and soaked in water. The plants are removed from the water and allowed to dry for an hour, and then placed back inside the terrarium.

Instructions

    • 1

Move the stud finder along the ceiling until you locate a ceiling joist. The terrarium requires indirect or filtered sunlight. Drill a pilot hole into the joist.

    • 2

Screw a heavy duty screw hook into the pilot hole and into the joist. Screw until the threads of the hook are no longer visible.

    • 3

Hook lightweight chain on the hook. Determine the height of the terrarium that you want. Cut the chain with wire cutters to the length you want. Add an S hook to the last link. Hook the loop of the terrarium onto the S hook.
