Forbo

• The world's market leader in linoleum floor coverings is Forbo, who claims to own a massive 60 percent of global market share. Its main linoleum product is called marmoleum. Marmoleum real is available in 60 shades, each achieved with two to five colors calendered, or rolled together at high temperature and pressure, to create a marbled surface. • U.S. company Armstrong claims to have the largest range of floor products including linoleum, which it calls Marmorette. Armstrong stresses the durability of its linoleum, which is damage resistant and can last more than 40 years if installed and looked after correctly. The company also emphasizes that linoleum is naturally anti-bacterial. Armstrong refined the old formula for making linoleum and offer a wide selection of colors and styles for care homes, education institutions, sports centers, domestic and business settings.

• Gerflor claims to be a leading European manufacturer of floorings - including linoleum - which are officially certified as environmentally friendly.
