    • Mohawk Industries, with headquarters in Calhoun, Georgia, is one of the world's largest floor covering manufacturers and distributors. Mohawk's two lines of bamboo flooring, Hilea and Kahala, offer customers an environmentally friendly alternative to hardwood flooring. Both lines are created from an environmentally sound process, using 100% of the bamboo stalk to create bamboo strands that are adhered together with an eco-friendly glue. The result is not only environmentally responsible but also twice as durables as domestic oak.

    • One of the earliest companies to feature exotic flooring materials such as bamboo, the Johnson Premium Hardwood Flooring company was founded in 1999 in Southern California. Johnson Premium Hardwood Flooring considers itself an ecologically responsible and caring manufacturer of hardwood floors. To uphold its pledge of environmental responsibility, Johnson uses only adhesive that meets the rigorous German E-1 standard for formaldehyde emissions and all products are sealed with water-based finishes. Bamboo flooring from Johnson is available in natural or caramelized color and horizontal, vertical, strand and tiger strand grain.

Their line of bamboo flooring, Signature Naturals, comes in 3-5⁄8-by-24, 36, 48 and 72-inches and in two color options of natural and caramelized. Each piece or vertical or flat grain bamboo is sealed with a seven-coat aluminum oxide/polyurethane finish.
