How to Frost Glass Doors

Frost your glass doors with a frosting glass spray. An aerosol frosting spray is probably one of the easiest and most economical ways of frosting your glass doors. Ventilate the area properly and outline the desired area with painter's tape to avoid damaging surrounding surfaces.

Apply a self-adhesive frosting film. Measure and cut the film to fit the glass door. Carefully apply the film to the glass doors, use a hard edge (such as a ruler or wallpaper brush) to squeeze out any air bubbles. Have patience and care while applying a frosting film as air bubbles will ruin the visual appeal.

Paint the glass doors with an acrylic-based wall glaze. Apply the glaze with a paintbrush to the glass doors. The wall glaze will create an opaque frosting on the glass doors. This method lets you be a bit more creative in the application, creating different patterns in the frosting with your brush strokes or a sponge.
