How to Create the Cracked Paint Look

A crackle paint glaze can deliver an exotic finish to a wall or piece of painted furniture. The effect is not difficult to achieve with special materials made just for the job. A crackle glaze on a sleek chest of drawers painted a deep red will bring a touch of the Orient to any style décor. The walls of a dining room or bedroom painted with the crackle glaze effect can add style and color to the furnishings.
