How to Faux-Glaze a Terracotta Pot

Things You'll Need

  • 1 oz. acrylic paint
  • 2 oz. glaze
  • Craft stick
  • Disposable bowl
  • Sea sponge
  • Soft clean rag

      Mix the paint and glaze in the disposable bowl thoroughly with the craft stick.

      Dip the sea sponge in the tinted glaze mixture and apply it to the outside of the terracotta pot. Move around the pot with the sponge in a horizontal motion, not up and down in a vertical motion.

      Wipe off any excess tinted glaze with the soft clean rag. Let the glaze dry for three hours. Add two more layers of tinted glaze, letting each layer dry for three hours.
