Wall Magic Accent Instructions

An accent wall gives a room a lot of power: It can make a room seem larger or smaller and create a focal point. The Wall Magic dual-roller decorative painting system can be used to create unique textures, effects and wall accents in less time than traditional painting requires. Create an accent wall by selecting from a wide variety of sponging, wool, textured or stenciled rollers.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay a drop cloth on the ground of the area to be painted to protect the flooring. Tape areas around the accent wall that you do not want to paint, such as ceilings, windowsills or baseboards. Place a newspaper flat on the drop cloth to blot the rollers later on.

    • 2

Pour the two shades of paint into the paint trays in equal amounts. Apply the paint to the rollers evenly by rolling them through the trays and saturating the rollers with the paint.

    • 3

Apply the roller to the newspaper, blotting off the excess paint before applying to the wall. Make sure that the paint is spread evenly on each roller.

    • 4

Paint the wall using a diagonal crisscross pattern; do not stroke up and down as you would with a traditional painting roller. Repeat this pattern until you achieve the desired result on the wall. As you dip the rollers and repeat the process, blend the previous section of the wall before starting on an unpainted section.
