DIY Tabletop Protector Pad

If you are a crafter or artist, or have a hobby that gets messy, create a customized tabletop protector pad to fit over the table of your choice. A protector pad is simple to make and doesn't require sewing experience. It can be removed and reattached to the table whenever you want. The heavy plastic material is waterproof and protects the table from anything that gets splashed or spilled on it.

Instructions

    • 1

Place heavy plastic covering over the table, centering it to lie evenly across.

    • 2

Carefully cut the covering around the perimeter of the table, about 2 inches from the edge of the table.

    • 3

Cut eight 12-inch-long strips from the leftover plastic covering.

    • 4

Secure two strips to each corner of the covering by layering the ends over each other and piercing through each layer of plastic with a large bradley pin. Bend the pins out of their T-shape so they are flat against the plastic.

    • 5

Tie the strips around the legs of the table to secure the protector pad.
