Instructions

    • 1

Purchase 1/2 yard of fabric for each chair in a color that matches a color in the rest of the shower decorations. Cheap fabric can be bought in 1/2-yard lengths at most craft stores. Some options for a baby shower are pink tulle for a girl shower or blue for a boy.

    • 2

Drape fabric over the back of each chair, pulling it down the front and through the opening between the back of the chair and the seat so that the fabric hangs evenly down each side. Cut a piece of ribbon 3 feet in length and tie the dangling pieces of fabric together, making a bow where the fabric falls at the slit in the back of the chair.

    • 3

Purchase balloons and string that match the décor of the shower. Purchase two balloons to go with each chair and plan to either rent a helium tank or have the balloons inflated with helium at the store on the day of the shower.

    • 4

Measure 6 feet of ribbon for each balloon and tie the end of a piece of ribbon to the end of a balloon. Tie two balloons to each folding chair, wrapping the ends of the ribbons not secured to the balloons around the frame of the chair. Depending on the look you want, you can wrap ribbons together on one side of the chair or wrap them at the base of the frame on each side.
