Instructions

    • 1

Prepare your work space by spreading a layer of newspaper or plastic on top of the work surface. The newspaper or plastic barrier will protect your furniture in case the glue bleeds through the fabric.

    • 2

Pre-wash the fleece pillow and allow it to dry completely. Pre-washing will remove any sizing that may be present on the surface of the fabric, which could prevent the glue from sticking. Sizing is a kind of glaze or filler applied to the surface of many fabrics to protect them against wear and absorption.

    • 3

Open the bottle of glue and squeeze a dab of it onto a test patch of felt. If you are using a new bottle of glue, you may need to poke a hole in the applicator with a safety pin or snip off the tip with scissors. The best type of glue to use is felt glue, but you may also substitute fabric glue or a permanent craft adhesive such as Fabri-Tac.

    • 4

Stick the test patch of felt to a test patch of fleece to be sure that the glue does not seep through the felt and that it adheres properly.

    • 5

Apply a moderate amount of glue to the back of the felt you want to attach to the fleece pillow. Do not coat the entire piece of felt with glue, but trace around the border within a 1/4 inch of the edge and draw stripes or swirls with glue to fill the rest of the area.

    • 6

Place the felt on top of the fleece pillow in the desired position with the glue side down. Press down gently on the felt and wiggle it slightly from side to side to distribute the glue evenly.

    • 7

Allow the glue to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions.
