Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a moss-covered wreath with a weathered patina that will complement your vintage gift ribbon.

    • 2

Snip a long length of heavy-gauge wire and fit around the top of the wreath. Twist the wire at the back to secure it in place and shape the ends to make a circle, twisting them over one another to make a sturdy hanger.

    • 3

Fold shorter scraps of vintage gift ribbon in a simple loop and pin them to the wreath base with T-pins. Apply them in a random pattern of color and placement so your finished wreath will have visual and structural appeal.

    • 4

Fold longer lengths of vintage gift ribbon accordion-fashion and attach them with a T-pin, taking care that as your wreath begins to fill, the surrounding ribbon applications hide the T-pins from view.

    • 5

Apply decorative accents like vintage shank-backed rhinestone buttons with T-pins for added sparkle. Vintage hatpins or brooches are other embellishments you might consider to add visual interest.
