Instructions

    • 1

Create a pattern or design on your jewelry hanger using tiles. Attach small glass or ceramic tiles onto the surface with urethane glue. Make a full mosaic picture or opt for a simple border.

    • 2

Decoupage pieces of fabric or paper onto the hanger. Clean the hanger with mild soap and water and dry it thoroughly. Cut out pieces of paper or fabric. Use a foam brush to apply all-purpose white glue to the backs of the pieces and press them into place on the hanger in your desired arrangement. Allow the glue to dry. Use a paintbrush to add a thin layer of decoupage medium or varnish across the surface to seal the pieces.

    • 3

Paint decorative embellishments around the border of the wall jewelry hanger. Use a fine-tipped paintbrush to create an ornate design with high-gloss acrylic paint for added shine. Glue sequins, beads or small charms around the design to give it dimension and texture.

    • 4

Decorate a wall jewelry hanger for a young girl’s room by applying stickers that feature characters or subjects that appeal to her. Use vinyl clings as an alternative, which you can remove and replace easily, unlike stickers.

    • 5

Add a mirror to the hanger so that you can see yourself as you try on the jewelry. Glue mirrored tiles or a small mirror in the center of the hanger.
