Place the ceramic tile on a flat work surface. If you use a plain white tile, decorating the tile can be part of the project. If you use a tile with a pattern and design to match your kitchen, decorating is not necessary.
Apply acrylic paints to a plain tile with the paintbrush or stamp designs on the tile using the permanent ink pad. Decorating ceramic tiles can be an ideal project for children. Allow any painted or stamped embellishments to dry completely before you proceed.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the embellished ceramic tile onto a baking sheet and bake it for between 10 and 15 minutes. Remove the tile from the oven and allow it to cool.
Spray the top surface of the tile with the sealant spray to preserve the design and prevent it from running or smearing if the tile becomes wet. Allow the sealant to dry completely before you proceed.
Turn the tile over so the back side faces up. Position one or two magnets onto the back of the tile, centering them evenly on the back of the tile. Glue the magnets to the back of the tile using the hot glue gun. Allow the glue to cool completely.
