Prepare the clock or clocks by synchronizing the time on all of them, if you are using multiple clocks. Paint or distress them so that they appear uniform and compliment the rest of your centerpiece setting.
Place a large serving platter in the center of the table. Stretch a colorful or patterned runner the length of the serving platter. Fold the edges for a more finished look.
Arrange the clock or clocks at the center of the serving platter in an interesting way. If you are using one clock, place it in the middle of the platter. With multiple clocks, arrange them in different directions so that everyone sitting at the table is able to view the time.
Adorn the centerpiece with flowers that compliment the colors of the clock and runner. Place the flowers in clear vases or use small buds and lay them directly on the serving platter. Consider filling the clear vase with pocket watches, rather than water, in order to complete your theme.
Place candles in complimentary colors on either side of the centerpiece. Consider your proportions when arranging and choosing your candles. Compliment the height of the centerpiece if you are using tall flowers with tall candles. Add tea lights instead if you wish to make your centerpiece smaller. Do not clutter your clock, as this is the focal point of your centerpiece.
