Measure the size of your papasan cushion. Measure out two circles of fabric that are about 10 inches wider than the actual cushion. Cut out the circles of fabric.
Cut one of the circles of fabric in half to create two half circles. Fold the straight edge of the fabric over by 1/4 inch twice, toward the wrong side of the fabric, to sandwich the raw edge of the fabric between the folds. Iron the folds flat. Perform this process on the straight edge of both half circles of fabric.
Sew the hem in the straight sides of the half circles. Use a straight stitch.
Lay the full circle of fabric flat with the right side of the fabric facing upwards. Lay the half circles of fabric over the full circle with the half circles facing wrong side up. Pin the pieces of fabric together.
Sew around the edges of the fabric with a ½-inch seam using a zig zap stitch. Remove the pins as you sew.
Turn the cushion cover right side out and slip it over your papasan cushion.
