How to Decorate With Rattan & Glass Shelves

Stagger the decor on the rattan and glass shelves. For instance, place three objects on one shelf, with one at either end and one in the center. On the next shelf up, use two objects and place them so they are above the empty spaces on the first shelf. Repeat this on each glass shelf. This prevents the shelves from looking messy and cluttered, which detracts from the relaxed ambiance of the rattan and glass.

Pick knickknacks that exude an outdoorsy or nautical feel. For instance, set a collection of miniature lighthouses, seashells, beach glass or a bottle in a ship on the shelf.
