How to Get Bubbles Out of Paintable Wall Paper

If you have recently hung paintable wallpaper and noticed bubbles popping up, you may need to remove the wallpaper and re-hang it. The bubbles are air pockets that were not smoothed out immediately after you pressed the paper to the wall. Before you tear off the wallpaper, though, try to smooth out the bubbles with a razor knife and a glue-injecting syringe.

• Glue-injecting syringe
• Seam adhesive
• Razor knife
• Seam roller
• Damp sponge

     Fill a glue-injecting syringe, which you can buy from your hardware store, with a seam adhesive.

     Press the tip of the needle into the bubble and insert the adhesive by pressing on the syringe's plunger. If you find it difficult to insert the needle tip, then make a small cut in the wallpaper with a razor knife.

     Smooth over the filled bubble with a seam roller. Wipe away excess adhesive with a damp sponge.
