How to Attach a Towel Closet Frame

Turn the back of your bathroom door into a towel closet by installing a towel frame over the door. Towel closet frames can be installed quickly and easily. Keep in mind that not all towel frames fit properly on a door. Test the fit of your frame by slowly closing the door completely shut once you have installed the towel frame. If the door does not shut easily, then it may not be a door suitable for a towel frame or vice versa.

  Lay the towel closet frame across a wide, flat work space so that all parts are visible and in place. You should see towel bars that run in a vertical row much like a ladder and two wide hooks at the top of the frame.

  Place a step stool near the base of the door and on the side of the door you would like to install the towel frame.

  Pick up the towel frame by the two hooks at the top.

  Climb the step stool and place the two hooks over the top of the door. Gently lower the rest of the towel closet frame onto the door. Place towels on the vertical rods.
