Run a stud finder over the walls on each side surrounding the window or door where you’ll install the decorative rods. Mark the stud with a pencil on either side.
Measure from the floor upward to the point on the stud where you want to install the curtain brackets. Mark the height with a pencil. Repeat on the other side.
Hold the curtain brackets with the bottom lined up with height mark you made. Drill pilot holes through the holes for screws present on the bracket. Insert the screws in the proper holes and tighten to complete the installation process.
Place the curtain on the decorative rod and place the rod so it sits between the two brackets.
