How to Determine What Size of Leaning Mirror to Put in a Hallway

A leaning mirror is a large mirror that is not to be hung on a wall. Instead, a leaning mirror rests against a wall and acts somewhat like a free-standing mirror. To determine the size of the leaning mirror you need, measure the length and width of your hallway wall. Your mirror will lean about 3 to 5 inches from the wall.

Instructions

    • 1

Set up a stepladder near the hallway wall where you hope to place the leaning mirror.

    • 2

Ask an assistant to hold the stepladder in place.

    • 3

Climb onto the stepladder. Place the measuring tape at the top of the wall and measure all the way down to the bottom. Then measure the width of the wall. Write down your measurement. This will help you determine the length and width of the leaning mirrors that are compatible with your wall space.
