Instructions

Select three screen doors that are the same height. They do not have to be the same width. Wash the doors with a sponge and warm, soapy water to remove dirt and then allow the doors to dry.

Connect the doors with hinges and screws by placing the hinges on the front of the doors. This will make a headboard of three doors in a row, side-by-side. If you want to create the doors in an accordion style, then connect the first two doors with hinges on the front and the second and third door with hinges on the back.

Nail the headboard with doors side by side directly into the wall. You also can prop it up against the wall. Place the headboard with accordion-style doors near the wall. The latter will stand up on its own. Arrange the bed frame, box spring and mattress against the screen door headboard.
