How to Add Height to a Chrome Table Leg

A table with shiny chrome legs reflects light in a small place and adds a retro design to your home. If you find that the legs are a little short, it can make eating at the table or just generally using it irritating. Raise the chrome legs on your table to make it more comfortable to use.

Instructions

    • 1

Dab a small amount of epoxy glue into the cup of a steel furniture riser. Furniture risers, also sold as furniture raisers, are small, cupped devices where the foot of the furniture sits, giving the furniture several inches of height. The steel furniture risers match the look of the chrome legs well.

    • 2

Slide the furniture riser underneath one leg of the table.

    • 3

Repeat steps 1 and 2 until all four legs of the table are supported.

    • 4

Leave the table alone for 24 hours. During the first few hours, epoxy glue is still easy to move, but as it cures, it forms an extremely strong bond.
